Ok Folks....Here's the deal. NEW SITE and let me tell ya folks its AWESOME!!!!!
Was there this morning checking out the place and making arrangements.

When: March 7th 2010 8:00-9:00 am Registration & Tech Inspection

Where: Alabama Rally Ranch (first name that came to mind)
160 Shag Bark Dr
Harpersville, AL 35078

Entry Fee: $30.00 SCCA members (consists of school/T&T/practice/timed event)
$35.00 non-SCCA members.

Event Format: short classroom, driving exercise, ride along with instructor, practice/ T&T/event.

Goodies: 1st 15 entries get to grab bag SCCA swag. New member referral gets half price on next event....I'm sure well have other stuff by then too.

Everyone thats attending I need to know how many drivers & if RWD,FWD & AWD. I want to get a head count to help instructors with getting prepared. Also, we need to know, because the land owner is cutting & clearing an area for paddock/service area, so we need to know space wise. If your trailing your car or not. Also please Google map the address. From 280 & 119 its 16 miles to the event. From I-459 280exit its 20miles. We well have some signs off 280 to direct you to the ranch.....This well be a new site for everyone & I'm telling you its ridiculously fresh!

Entrylist

2# Paul Street M4
3# Chris M4

Is this the same Rally school we heard about at the 2/20 event up here? Moved to new site? Just want to be sure I am not getting 2 different events confused.

Edwin, Eden and I will be down to help. Wish I could bring the truck but I am not set up to tow that far yet, maybe next time. We can bring a easyup with sides if you need it. Sounds like it will be long day. Will food be available close by?

I think on the ALSCCA.org forum they posted that a concession stand would be there.

The event site is not close to anything.

Wow, this was a long day. The Rallycross school was well attended. Around 30 cars and I am sure there were at least 65 people there. With spectators perhaps more. It had a very wide variety of vehicles. Something for everyone even some Honda factory "stuff". A Pilot and a minivan. Both were impressive. A pickup or two, an LTD, a big new Merc (say no more), some nice BMW's of many decades, an Evo DID make it, and all the rest.

The course was VERY technical. No big speed, lots of elevation changes, and very tricky. Perhaps best for a school. I did learn a big lesson about that e-brake usage. It was grand fun to watch cars go up the hill to the finish or in some cases "try to go up the hill". Many spins were had but no de-beads or turtles. Safe day. Weather excellent....

We had great fun yesterday. I want to thank the TVR crew for coming down & helping with the school. BIG THANKS to Eden & Miles for all there help. Without them Esther would have been overwhelmed with everything she would have needed to get done, but she enjoyed herself. Again thanks to Charles, Shelton, Tim, Leon, Miles & Eden...Times will be up soon....

Nicely done, JR.

Consistent times on that slick/tight course is impressive.

My apologies to Chris and Paul in the Pilot.....I am anything but an instructor.
