| If you missed this weekend, you really missed a great, well run , event.
Wonderful format vs. previous.
If you did not stay for Sunday. Too bad because the day was pleasant and dry.

| I had a great time and learned a lot working the event. I will also be spending some time getting the grass and dirt out of my S (from the worker runs). I either have to learn how to stay on the gas, or start driving with the top up.
I hope others saw my spin-out, I hate to have a show like that go to waste (-:
A big thank you to Paul, for showing me the lines, even if I couldn't find them later.

D'oh! The way the weather forecast was, there seemed to be no chance of a dry day on Sunday. Oh well...at least I got to sleep in nice and late this morning.

I was working turn 3 during your laps ,but, I was watching when you spun and it_ looked_ like you made a classic early turn in and pinched the turn so in essence(if that is indeed what you did) you were doomed once you turned the wheel.
Dont worry .I had my miscues this weekend myself .I finally got the cone scuffs rubbed off .Took cutting compound to get it back white again .I was driving the infamous white #3 240sx (cone killer)
Thanks for working the event man ....you're the best !!!

| Most drivers got 80+ laps. Many reported over 100 MILES of track time!
For the first time I can remember, the drivers all gave up before the clock ran out on the weekend. We were able to give the workers a full 30 minute session at the end of the day on Sunday, too.
Great effort by all invovled!!

I ran out of fuel. Got more fuel, then ran out of tyres. I wanted to run more, but on streets my times would probably not have improved. That and I needed them to drive home with. It is probably good we all got out of there when we did; an hour later there was a tornado warning there.

| This weekends event was what was told to me the high water mark for some time at TGPR. That could not be done except by guys like George Bugg, Craig Farr, Chuck Shultz, Steve Patterson, Timing and Scoring, Grid, Corner Workers, John Waight - they took the time to create an experience that needs to be recognized. Wally Lacey set his odo and it read like 125+ miles (didn't make the last sessions) and as mentioned 85 timed laps! I think the Pannell Miata had something like almost 200 miles (2 drivers Sat/1 on Sun). Workers had 15 minutes of track time Saturday (could have had more but a BMW got in a bad place and took time to move) and 25 minutes on Sunday. We got done with ALL runs entrant and worker by 3:00pm.
Simply - it gets better every year.

| Mark really appreciate all you guys who put this on and changed it to this great format. Saturday Clayton Pannell and I ran together for the whole session, we made alot of passes and I have never had so much fun at TGPR. Who cares about times when it is that much fun, although cannot understand how Clayton ran a 110 and change and I got a 111 and change when he was following me. Brilliant way to run the track, kudos to everyone, especially the workers.

| This weekend was a good event. It is a great way to run the event. As you can see by the times the format had no effect on people's ability to run record setting times.

| Here's one possible way to improve - after times are established, grid by fast cars first, then the first out can hold back for most of the first lap, and then everybody can get the maximum number of laps before catching slower cars.
Maybe even send 'em out a little closer together.

I was working T2 when this happened ......... thanks for the great show John!!!
Also a big thanks to "ALL" who made this weekend happen! From the folks who set it all up, to the corner workers, the instructors, and everyone else who had a hand in making this the best weekend I've had in a long time!
It was great to meet a lot of folks from all regions I see on these forums, as well as getting to better know some I have met in the past.
As this was my first time at a TT event (I was a student), I have not seen how they were run in the past; but this format seemed to work out well. I got lots of seat time, helping me improve my skills as well as my times.
I made it through the school and am looking forward to the next event! Hope to see everyone in Nashville! Thanks again everyone.

Any word on when they are going to post the final results?

| I really appreciate everyone welcoming and be nice to Lexus. She was very impressed with the event, people and cars. Thank you Bruce and Paul for letting her sit in your cars and have her picture taken. She is excited about coming to the next autocross and getting to ride along.
We went to the little fun track in Oxford on the way home and she had a lot of fun running the karts.

| Tell Lexus that those karts have a long history behind them. Not just SCCA Solo 1/TT/Solo Divisional Solo outings but the likes of the Davey Allison and Kyle Petty would stop during Dega weekends early in their racing careers.

Fixed! ; )
Great event and hats off to event organizers and instructors and course workers. TJ broke the CSP track record from last year and still only came in fourth...the top 5 or 6 were under a nickle! Competition was great and new format ran smooth. Good change! I was particularly pleased with seeing course workers from last year behind the wheel this year... and also to see Walt and Ann. These are a couple of jewels in the Time Trial crown and know more about "taking hills" than Patton did... talking with them some about the past for the hill climbing book was a highlight of my weekend. Annie, I don't know what you are feeding that old rascal but keep it up, he looked great. Mean as ever... if I were John Finger or George Bowland, I'd be worrying. Hope to see you both again soon.
Thanks for a great weekend. We'll be back next year. Long way from SC but worth it. See you at Wolf Ridge in a few weeks!!!! Ted
